Gulgong Pioneers' Museum , corner Herbert and Bayley Streets, located in the Old Times Bakery (1872–73) which was featured on the old Australian $10 note. Open seven days 9am–5pm.

The Prince of Wales Opera House, Mayne Street , erected of bark in 1871 and at that time was probably the largest free-standing bark structure ever built.

The Henry Lawson Centre , Mayne Street, has the largest collection of Henry Lawson material (paintings, prints, cuttings, photographs, books) outside the Mitchell Library. Open seven days 10am–12pm and to 3pm on Saturdays, school holidays and public holidays.

The Cudgegong Gallery, Herbert Street, a world-class gallery featuring regular exhibitions of art and ceramics by leading Australian and international artists. Open seven days 10am-5.30pm. Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
